Math Friday

On Friday, we spent time playing different math games and activities.  Here we have a farm sorting activity. 

 The students also had a container of objects, and they were able to sort them according to attributes of their choice.  This group sorted by type of object.










This group sorted the objects by color.  Other sorted by where the objects were found or by size. It was interesting to see how many different ways they found to organize the small toys.

These kids are playing a math game.  The goal was to move around the board by rolling dice and either adding them or subtracting them according to the operation die.  

Another activity was graphing with small race cars. The kids would place the cars on the graph and then see which color had the most or least.
