We are looking at characters this week. We have studied Sylvester from Sylvester and the Magic Pebble, Alexander from Alexander and the Wind Up Mouse, and David from No, David!
We are also going to be looking at Peter from The Snowy Day and several other books by Ezra Jack Keats. The students are learning to identify character traits through text and pictures. Some of the traits need to be inferred, which we are learning to do as well.
I have posted several of Ezra Jack Keats' books about Peter here on the blog. Watch them with your child and have them tell you about Peter and what you can learn about him from the stories.
