Jan Brett Author Study

This week we are reading stories by the author, Jan Brett.  We are specifically looking how this author weaves cultural elements into her writing.  The students are looking for elements such as clothes, food, animals, and geographical differences.  Look for projects coming home dealing with China, Africa, Costa Rica, Germany, and the polar regions.  She is a wonderful author with rich illustrations depicting many pieces of the featured culture.
