Here is my situation: The first graders go to recess directly after PE. This means that they have to lug all their snow gear to the gym so they can leave right after class. I worry that we are going to drop items along the way.
Here is my idea: I would like each student to have a reusable bag (see pictures) which would have their name on it. In that bag would go their boots, snowpants, hat, and mittens. Then they would only have the bag and their coat to carry. Then after PE, they can take off their shoes, but them in the reusable bag while they go to recess. WAY less chance of losing items.
What I need: Reusable shopping bags. I have 4 that were donated by HyVee, so I will need 10 more. The best are those that are made of a type of plastic material, but cloth will work as well. If you have any of these bags around that you could donate, it would be appreciated. Your child's lost mittens will thank you. 
I have received enough bags. We used them today and it was a success!!! Thanks for all who donated.
