Estimation is the math skill we learned during this fun activity. The student cut out three circles. Then they estimated how many cotton balls would fit on the small circle. After writing down their estimation, they glued on the cotton balls to check their estimation. Then we moved to the middle circle. It was interesting to hear the students reasons for their estimations. On the third circle (the largest) they were really getting the hang of estimation and they were able to make closer predictions. The students were then able to assemble their snowman and decorate. Fun math project!
