Today we worked on counting coins. The students drew a worm on a piece of paper. In that worm they learned to place the coins they are counting in order of value. We worked with dimes, nickels and pennies. This helps them organize the coins so that skip counting and adding are the same every time. Use this strategy for counting coins at home.
