The Bald Eagle's wingspan can reach seven feet. Most are 60 inches across and their bodies are 30 inches high from top of the head to their feet. The kids were amazed at the size of our National bird. They also learned that the Wild Turkey was also considered for our National bird, but, thank goodness, it was out voted by the Bald Eagle.
