Valentine’s Day
We will be celebrating Valentines Day on February 14th.
One of the most memorable school traditions is creating a Valentine’s day box. With your child, create some sort of box in which to collect their cards. It does not have to be elaborate, but spending time with mom, dad, or a grandparent making the box is precious time to a child. You can bring box to school from now until the 14th. If you do not choose to make a box, I will have paper bags available to use for collection.
Please bring a Valentine for each child in the class (list provided). Feel free to attach a small treat to each card. This is not required, but is a fun, special activity.
I am looking for a couple of parents to be willing to donate some snack items on that day. I don’t want sugary treats since they will have so many candy treats in their valentines.
I would like:
- popcorn
- pretzels
- cheese balls
- small Styrofoam bowls
If you would be willing to donate, please let me know.
Any questions? Call me at school 882-6390 or by email kim.buechler@k12.sd.us
Thanks to your generosity, I have everything on my list for the Valentine's Day party. If you think of anything else you might like to donate, let me know. Thanks again!
